Hankie Pillow Craft!

Directions
1. Place the hankie or napkin face up on top of the lining fabric and iron them. Pin in place at the seams. Sew the lining to the back of the hankie making a small seam. You don’t want to cover up too much of the design when you sew the back of the pillow on.

2. If you want to decorate the pillow with buttons or other items, you must do this before you sew the hankie to the backing.

3. Lay down the backing fabric and the hankie right sides together. Smooth out and pin together at seams. Sew around all sides leaving a large enough opening to turn it so that the right sides are out and you can get stuffing inside with your hand or a tool. Press seams flat while pillow is still inside out. Trim corners.

4. Once pressed turn the pillow right sides out.

5. Fill the pillow with loose stuffing (you can use stuffing from an old pillow or stuffed animal to save money). Make sure you fill the corners.

6. Fold over the edges of the opening inward to match the seams. Then slip stitch to close the seam.
